Official information has been released regarding the cameo appearances in Tabekko Animals THE MOVIE, currently showing in theaters. Voice actors Genta Matsuda (Travis Japan), Koji Mizukami, and Akari Takaishi are featured in the film. In addition to the beloved Tabekko Animals, the movie includes appearances by various snack-themed characters from other companies, with newly revealed stills showcasing their roles.

Tabekko Animals, the animal-shaped biscuits by Ginbis that have been loved since 1978, have been brought to life in a full 3DCG animated film. After its release, audiences were pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of snacks featured, with comments like, “I didn’t expect snacks from other manufacturers!” and “It’s like the snack version of the Avengers!”

One standout was the appearance of the iconic Three Porinkies from Koikeya’s triangular snack bar Porinky. Voiced by Sho Hayami, the characters stole the spotlight with reactions such as “Coolest Porinky voice ever!” and “I totally fell for Porinky.” In the film, the trio serve as the captain and co-pilot of the private jet the Tabekko Animals ride, and also take on the role of bartenders—supporting the group’s adventures in style.

The trio is voiced by veteran and widely popular voice actor Sho Hayami, who also voiced the “Three Porinkies” in the Porinky revival commercials. Known for iconic roles such as Sosuke Aizen in BLEACH and Jakurai Jinguji in Hypnosis Mic, Hayami returns to play all three Porinkies himself, bringing his signature charm and depth to each character.

In addition to Porinky, stills of three more cameo characters have been revealed: Umaemon from Umaibo (Yaokin Co., Ltd.), as well as Yocchan and Taratara Shitenjane from Cut Yocchan and Taratara Shitenjane (Yocchan Food Industry Co., Ltd.). Just like the Tabekko Animals, they appear as members of the “Okasies,” a group that emerges when humans eat sweets.

Sho Hayami, who voices the Three Porinkies, shared his thoughts:

When I first heard about it, I thought, “No way!” It’s such a bold and unexpected crossover.

I vaguely remembered Porinky as that “spot-the-difference” character, and I had so many questions. But once I read the script, saw the footage, and got into the role, it all felt very natural.

I hope you’ll welcome me as a friend of the Tabekko Animals… Ah, I’ll head to the theater myself soon. I hope everyone else will too.
