McDonald’s Chicken Tatsuta and Detective Conan Team Up Again with Two New Commercials

McDonald’s popular Chicken Tatsuta is teaming up with Detective Conan once again! Starting April 16, a total of seven special menu items—including limited-time offerings—will be available through late May (planned). To celebrate the collaboration, two original animated commercials will air nationwide beginning April 15.

This marks the second collaboration between McDonald’s Chicken Tatsuta and Detective Conan, following last year’s popular campaign. During the promotion, the classic Chicken Tatsuta will be joined by the limited-time Tartar Nanban Chicken Tatsuta. From 5 p.m. daily, two rice-based variations—Rice Chicken Tatsuta and Rice Chicken Tatsuta Tartar Nanban—will also be available. Other limited-time items include Shaka Shaka Potato with Jaga Butter seasoning, McFizz Setouchi Lemon Yogurt Flavor, and McFloat Setouchi Lemon Yogurt Flavor. The limited-time burgers will come in special Detective Conan-themed packaging.

In the original animated commercial titled Detective Conan: Golden Delicious, familiar characters like Conan Edogawa (voiced by Minami Takayama), Ai Haibara (Megumi Hayashibara), and Ran Mouri (Wakana Yamazaki) make an appearance. They’re joined by members of the Nagano Prefectural Police, including Gansuke Yamato (Yuji Takada). The mysterious “M Gang” also returns from last year’s ad, diving into the mystery surrounding the legendary McDonald’s treasures—Chicken Tatsuta and Tartar Nanban Chicken Tatsuta.

As the clock strikes 5 p.m., Conan, Kogoro Mouri (voiced by Rikiya Koyama), and Toru Amuro (Tsuyoshi Kusao) rush into a McDonald’s and enjoy the evening-exclusive burgers together.
