The animated film Anne of Green Gables will return to theaters for a limited two-week revival screening starting May 30. Organized by Filmarks, the screening will take place in 81 theaters across Japan, with more expected to be added soon.

Anne of Green Gables: The Road to Green Gables is a theatrical compilation film released in 2010, based on episodes 1–6 of the 1979 TV anime Anne of Green Gables (original story by L.M. Montgomery). Directed and re-edited by Isao Takahata himself, the film follows Anne, a spirited young orphan adopted by the Cuthbert family, as she begins to find her place amidst the beautiful natural scenery of her new home.
