It was announced that the latest Detective Conan film, Detective Conan: Flashback of the One-Eyed Man, has surpassed 10.4 billion yen in box office revenue and attracted over 7.26 million viewers within 19 days of its release on May 6th.
This marks the third consecutive Detective Conan movie to surpass the 10-billion-yen milestone, following The Iron Submarine (2023) and The Million Dollar Five-Pointed Star (2024). Notably, this installment reached the milestone in just 19 days—three days faster than the previous record—making it likely to become the highest-grossing film in the series’ history.
To celebrate the achievement, a commemorative illustration by original creator Gosho Aoyama was unveiled, featuring Kogoro Mouri reminiscing about his late police colleague Wani.
In addition, a new special PV has been released, set to the theme song “TWILIGHT!!!” by King Gnu. The video begins with a tense car scene featuring Gansuke Yamato and Yui Uehara, interwoven with lyrics expressing the endurance of fate. The second half highlights emotional separations: Gansuke and Yui’s past, Kogoro and Wani’s irreversible parting, and Takaaki’s longing to reunite. Several key scenes drawn by Aoyama, including one of Kogoro speaking to the sky, evoke a bittersweet atmosphere. The melody and visuals merge to deliver a deeply moving tribute.
