Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump(Shueisha). Set in the Taisho era, it follows Tanjiro Kamado, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps to fight demons after his sister is turned into one. Since its 2019 TV debut, several arcs have been animated, including the Mugen Train Arc, Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and Pillar Training Arc. The first film in the trilogy finale—Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc—will premiere on July 18, depicting the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and Muzan Kibutsuji’s forces. As part of the ongoing Demon Slayer Theater project that began on April 4, all previous arcs are being screened in theaters. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train will return to theaters for a limited five-week run starting May 9, in standard, IMAX, 4D, and Dolby Cinema formats.
