“Mononoke the Movie: Chapter 3: Snake God” to be released next spring – First round of movie ticket cards on sale now

The title of the third and final film in the “Mononoke the Movie” trilogy has been decided as “Mononoke the Movie: Chapter 3: Snake God” and it has been announced that it will be released in spring 2026. Kenji Nakamura will serve as general director, and the story will be set in the Ooku, following the first and second chapters.
“Mononoke” is an original work that depicts a mysterious man, a medicine seller, calming down supernatural phenomena possessed by human passions and grudges. It was born from “Bakeneko”, a story from “Ayakashi” broadcast in 2006, and a TV series was broadcast in 2007. The first chapter of the movie version, “Mononoke the Movie: Karakasa”, was released in July 2024, and the second chapter, “Kasane”, was released on March 14th.
With this announcement, the first Mubichike card-type advance tickets will also go on sale. The visual on the Mubichike card shows a medicine seller holding a demon-slaying sword in front of a shrine in the underground altar of the inner palace. As a purchase bonus, an A4 visual card with the same design as the Mubichike card is included.
