Theatrical version of “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” to be released on September 19th; 12 character visuals revealed

The theatrical anime “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc”, a sequel to the TV anime “Chainsaw Man”, has been decided to be released on September 19th. In addition to a poster with the release date and a special trailer, 12 character visuals were also unveiled.
The original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto is a dark hero action work, the first part of which was serialized in “Shonen Jump” from 2018 to 2020, and the second part has been serialized in “Shonen Jump +” since 2022. Denji (CV: Kikunosuke Totani), an extremely poor devil hunter, makes a contract with Pochita (Shiori Izawa), a chainsaw demon, and becomes Chainsaw Man with a demon’s heart, fighting a deadly battle with demons.

The TV series will air from October to December 2022. The “Reze” arc begins when Denji is on his way home from a date with his crush Makima (Tomori Kusunoki) and is sheltering from the rain when he meets a mysterious girl, Reze (Reina Ueda), who works at a cafe. The staff includes Tatsuya Yoshihara, who was the action director and storyboard artist for the TV series, as director, Koji Seko as scriptwriter, Kazutaka Sugiyama as character designer, and Kensuke Ushio as music composer.

The character visuals include Chainsaw Man, Denji, Pochita, Makima, Aki Hayakawa, Power, and Kobeni Higashiyama, as well as Beam, the Demon of Violence, Angel Devil, and Reze and Bomb, who appear in the movie.
“Chainsaw Man: Reze” will be released nationwide on September 19th.
