It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime “Douse, Koi Shimau Nanda” will air on TBS and other channels in 2026, and a teaser visual has been released. It has also been revealed that Shunichi Yamamoto will continue to serve as director, continuing from the first season.
The original manga “Douse, Koi Shimau Nanda,” currently serialized in “Nakayoshi” (Kodansha), depicts the love story between Mizuho, a second-year high school student who believes that a sparkling youth is impossible, and her childhood friends, Teruzuki, Misaki, Ai, and Shugo. The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March of this year.
The teaser visual depicts Teruzuki, Misaki, Ai, and Shugo sitting by a pool, seemingly gazing at “someone” in front of them. Since the teaser visual for the first season featured a design of people lying down by the water, it is expected that the poolside setting for season two will become a memorable setting for Teruzuki, Misaki, Ai, Shugo, and Mizuho.
New character visuals have also been released, showing Mizuho, Teruzuki, Misaki, Ai, and Shugo as adults.

The second season of “I’m Going to Fall in Love Anyway” is scheduled to air on TBS and other channels in 2026. Director Yamamoto’s comments are as follows:
[Yamamoto Junichi (Director)] Congratulations on the decision to broadcast the second season of “Koishima” in 2026! This time, we will be depicting “Koishima” all the way to the end, so I had many discussions with Mitsui-sensei and series writer Murai-san, and the scriptwriting team has written a wonderful story. The cast members are in perfect sync and are acting with great passion. Please look forward to it. 2026 will be here in the blink of an eye!
