Assassin Anime New PV with Star Voice Cast

Sanae Kobayashi, Yoshimi Tamura, and Junichi Suwabe have been confirmed to appear in the TV anime “Assassin: My Status is Clearly Stronger than the Hero’s”. It has also been revealed that “VESPERBELL” will be in charge of the opening theme song, and the first main PV has been released.

The original work by Matsuri Akai is a fantasy novel that has been serialized on the novel posting site “Let’s Become a Novelist” since 2017. High school student Akira Oda is summoned to another world along with his classmates, and due to his natural lack of presence, he gains the ability of a mediocre “assassin”, but for some reason his status surpasses even the strongest occupation “hero”. Akira (CV: Takeo Otsuka), who has doubts about the king who is the mastermind behind the summoning, uncovers the plot, but is framed for a crime he did not commit. Vowing revenge, he takes refuge in the depths of an unexplored labyrinth and meets an elf girl, Amelia Rose Quartz (Saku Mizuno). Four volumes of the book version (published by Overlap) have already been published. The anime version is produced by Sunrise.

Kobayashi plays Yoru, a monster of the “Black Cat” race who usually takes the form of a black cat. Tamura plays Lea Lagoon, a mysterious girl who knows the secret behind why Akira and the others were summoned to another world, and Suwabe plays Saran Misrey, the leader of the Knights of the Kingdom of Laitis, the only person Akira can trust.

The title of the opening theme song sung by virtual girl duo “VESPERBELL” consisting of Yomi and Kasuka has been decided to be “Issen”. This will be the unit’s first anime theme song. The first main PV uses the theme song “Issen” and features the voices of the three characters whose cast was announced this time. It also includes scenes of Akira, who has been summoned to another world, fighting various monsters and striving for greater heights, as well as his meeting with Amelia.
