The following works will be broadcast in April on “Sunday Anime Theater,” which airs every Sunday from 7:00 p.m. on BS12 TwellV (there will be no broadcast on April 27).
April 6th: “Violet Evergarden Special Edition” (2021 / Director: Taichi Ishidate)
April 13th: “Violet Evergarden: Gaiden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll” (2019 / Director: Haruka Fujita)
April 20th: “Violet Evergarden the Movie” (2020 / Director: Taichi Ishidate)
The anime “Violet Evergarden” series is a Kyoto Animation adaptation of the original work by Kana Akatsuki. Violet Evergarden (CV: Yui Ishikawa), who once participated in the war as a soldier, works as an “Auto Memory Doll,” a letter writer, and touches the hearts of various people and searches for the meaning of the words “I love you” from a loved one.

The “special edition” is a re-edited version of the TV series that aired in 2018. It was first broadcast on Friday Road Show in 2021.

In “Side Story: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll,” which was released in theaters in 2019, the story depicts the interactions between Violet, the noblewoman Isabella York, and the orphaned girl Taylor Bartlett.
