The heartwarming comedy manga “Chikuwa Senki ~My Cute Earth Invasion~”, which is currently being serialized on the manga distribution service “Cycomi”, has been made into a short anime starring Sugita Tomokazu, and it has been announced that it will be broadcast on tvk (TV Kanagawa) from “Shiba Day” on April 8th. It will also be available on various distribution services from the same day.

This work is a comedy about a Shiba Inu-like alien named Chikuwa who aims to invade the Earth using his cuteness as a weapon. Chikuwa is a Shiba Inu-like Geppler alien who came to Earth as an elite investigator, and his job is to collect “cute energy” (abbreviated as “kawaene”), which is generated when humans think something is “cute”. Chikuwa was dispatched to the home of the married couple Inumiya Banjiro and Madoka and was doing his job smoothly, but when the owners had a child, they no longer paid him any attention. Thinking that “this is not good,” Chikuwa comes up with a plan.

The cast includes Sugita as the main character Chikuwa, Kazama Mayuko as Madoka, Iwanaka Mutsumi as Banjiro, Hikisaka Rie as Nene, the baby who becomes Chikuwa’s rival, and Maki Shunichi as the Geppler Alien. The staff includes Mizuno Satoshi as director and series composition, Morrigan (WAVE) for music, and Imagica Infos/Imageworks Studio for animation production. A promotional video featuring Chikuwa’s self-introduction has also been released.
