It has been decided that a second season of the TV anime “A Country Old Man Becomes a Sword Saint” will be produced, and it will be broadcast in 2026. The announcement was made after the final episode of the first season aired late at night on June 21st.

The series is based on the light novel of the same name by Shigeru Sagazaki. The story follows Beryl Gardenant, a middle-aged man who runs a dojo in a rural area and is selected as a special instructor for the Knights on the recommendation of a former student who has become successful, and his turbulent days are depicted. The first season of the TV anime, co-produced by Passione and Hayabusa Film, aired from April to June 2013.
