The TV anime Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi 2 is set to air on TV Tokyo starting this October. It has been announced that Ayumu Murase will join the cast as the new character, Dora-chan. A teaser PV and visual have also been released.
Based on the popular light novel by Ren Eguchi, the series has surpassed 1.3 billion views on the “Shousetsuka ni Narou” website and sold over 8.5 million copies in print and digital formats. The story follows salaryman Tsuyoshi Mukoda (voiced by Yuuma Uchida), who is suddenly transported to another world. Using his unique “Online Supermarket” skill, he creates mouthwatering meals with modern Japanese seasonings and enjoys a relaxed life alongside the legendary beast Fel (voiced by Satoshi Hino) and the slime Sui (voiced by Hina Kino). Season 1 aired in 2023 and was produced by MAPPA, known for Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man.
Dora-chan

Dora-chan, voiced by Ayumu Murase, is a pixie dragon drawn to the irresistible aroma of Mukoda’s cooking and eventually becomes his newest companion. The teaser PV features voice clips of Dora-chan’s first encounter with Mukoda and his friends, as well as scenes of their laid-back life in the fantasy world. The teaser visual captures Mukoda with a huge grin, happily devouring a beef bowl.

Key staff members from Season 1 will return for the second season, including director Kiyoshi Matsuda, series composer Michiko Yokote, and character designer Nao Otsu. Tsuyoshi Kuwabara, known for his work on Dance Dance Danseur(sub-character design, etc.), will join the team as an additional character designer. MAPPA will continue to handle the animation production.
