A teaser visual and teaser PV for the new “Winter Arc” of the anime “Undead Unluck” have been released.
The main staff for “Winter Arc” has also been announced. Park Sung-hoo, known for the first season of “Jujutsu Kaisen” and “Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie,” will be directing and storyboarding, with animation produced by Park’s E&H Productions. The script will be written by Taketo Hiijima, and character designs will be handled by Hideyuki Morioka and Shunichi Ishimoto.
Originally serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (Shueisha), “Undead Unluck” follows Andy, an “undead” who denies death, and Izumo Fuko, an “unlucky” who denies luck, as members of the mysterious organization Union, as they fight against undead creatures that harm people and “deniers” with supernatural powers. The TV anime will air over two consecutive seasons from October 2023 to March 2024. The new anime, “Winter Arc,” will be released as a one-hour special in winter 2025.
The teaser visual for “Winter Arc” shows Juice holding a flaming saber and Billy holding a revolver, with the words “Betrayal and Justice” inscribed between the two. The teaser PV shows an enigmatic conversation between the two.
