“Mononoke the Movie: Fire Rat” unveils special action-packed trailer; first week admissions get a special foil-stamped still postcard

A new video, “Special Trailer – Battle Chapter,” from the theatrical anime “Mononoke The Movie: Chapter 2 – Fire Rat” has been shown.

It was also announced that the special gift for moviegoers in the first week of release, starting March 14th, will be a “Still Photo Postcard.” The postcards feature a still photo with a foil-stamped pattern on the top and bottom, and five types will be distributed at random (while stocks last).

“Mononoke” is an original work that depicts a mysterious man, a medicine seller, calming down supernatural phenomena that are possessed by human passions and grudges. It was born from “Bakeneko”, a story in the 2006 series “Ayakashi”, and a TV series was broadcast in 2007. The film version is a trilogy, and the first part, “Mononoke the Movie: Karakasa”, was released in July 2012.

The “Special Trailer – Battle Chapter” is packed with spectacular action scenes with the Fire Rats, including a medicine seller chasing the children of the fastest Mononoke in history, the Fire Rats.
“Mononoke The Movie: Chapter 2 Fire Rats” will be released nationwide on March 14th.
