The latest work in the “Haikyu!!” anime series, “Haikyu!! The Movie: VS Little Giants,” has been announced. The super teaser PV and super teaser visual have been released. In addition, it has been decided that the new short anime “Haikyu!! Where the Beasts Go” will be broadcast on TV.
The original work “Haikyu!!” by Haruichi Furudate is a volleyball manga that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2012 to 2020. It depicts the story of a small boy, Hinata Shoyo (CV: Murase Ayumu), who joins the Karasuno High School volleyball team and challenges the powerful schools alongside genius setter Kageyama Tobio (Ishikawa Kaito) and others. The anime version began as a TV series in 2014, and a total of four seasons have been broadcast by 2020.
“Haikyu!! vs. the Little Giants” is a sequel to “Haikyu!! vs. the Little Giants” released in 2012. After a fierce battle with Nekoma High School, Hinata and the rest of Karasuno High School advance to the quarterfinals of the Spring High (All Japan High School Volleyball Championship), where they face off against Kamomedai High School, whose player Hoshiumi Kourai (Hanae Natsuki) is nicknamed “the Little Giant” just like the player Hinata once admired. As with the previous film, Mitsunaka Susumu will be directing, and Production I.G will be producing the animation.

The super teaser PV for “Haikyu!! vs. the Little Giants” is about the showdown between Hinata and Hoshiumi as “little giants”. The super teaser visual shows Hinata jumping high in the air wearing the number 10 uniform, which is the symbol of the “little giant”, along with the rivals who have appeared so far and the catchphrase “Now, to the highest point of achievement.”
