The release date for the first chapter of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc” has been set for July 18th. It will be screened at 443 theaters nationwide (390 for the regular version + 53 for the IMAX version), exceeding the number of theaters for “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” released in 2020, and will be screened in 150 countries and regions around the world.
In addition, from April 4th, a special edited version of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Special Edition Theater Screening” will be screened in theaters, from “Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc” to “Hashira Training Arc”. It will be screened for a limited time of one week at 33 theaters nationwide.

In addition, a revival screening of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train” will be held from May 9th, and will be screened for five weeks only at 423 theaters nationwide (370 theaters for the regular version + 53 theaters for the IMAX version). This will be the first revival screening since its release in 2020, and it is also scheduled to be released in Dolby Atmos, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, and MX4D. For this screening, the main footage will be upconverted to 4K in its entirety, and the audio will be remixed for screening in Dolby Atmos and Dolby Cinema.

The “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” series, an anime adaptation by ufotable of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, depicts Tanjiro, whose family was killed by demons, becoming a member of the “Demon Slayer Corps” to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, and standing up to the demons led by Muzan. Starting with the first season of the 2019 TV anime, “Tanjiro Kamado: Unwavering Resolve Arc,” the “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train Arc,” the second season, “Entertainment Arc,” the third season, “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and the fourth season, “Hashira Training Arc,” have been broadcast and released. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc” will be produced as a trilogy of films.
