Synopsis
It has been more than a decade since “Gates”, passages connecting other dimensions and the present world, appeared all over the world. Humans who have awakened to superhuman powers, known as “Hunters”, are constantly fighting against the monsters that inhabit the dungeons inside the Gates. Normally, a Hunter’s abilities do not grow after awakening, and their rank never changes. However, Mizushino Shun, a low-ranked Hunter who was called the weakest weapon of humanity, obtains the power to “level up” on his own during a raid in a double dungeon, and improves his abilities during the battle. After clearing the job change quest and obtaining the job “Shadow Lord” that allows him to command shadow soldiers, Shun throws himself into a new battle in search of materials for the “Divine Water of Life” that may cure his sick mother.
