TV Anime Adaptation Announced for “The Easygoing Lord’s Fun Defense of His Territory”
It has been officially announced that the popular light novel The Easygoing Lord’s Fun Defense of His Territory: Turning an Unnamed Village into the Strongest Fortress City with Production Magic will be adapted into a TV anime.
Published by Overlap, the series has surpassed 2 million copies in total circulation (including digital editions) as of April 2025. The story follows Van, the fourth son of a marquis who is reincarnated into another world and given the seemingly useless “production magic.” Cast aside by noble society, he is assigned to rule a remote and impoverished village. However, with the power of his magic, Van begins to transform the humble settlement into a prosperous and fortified city.
To celebrate the anime announcement, special comments from the original creators and a commemorative illustration have been released.
