The fourth season of the TV anime “Osomatsu-san” is set to begin broadcasting on July 8th, and the official PV and main visual have been released. Details of the ending theme song have also been announced.
“Osomatsu-san” is a comedy anime that depicts the lives of the sextuplets of the Matsuno family, the protagonists of one of the late Fujio Akatsuka’s masterpieces “Osomatsu-kun” — Osomatsu (CV: Takahiro Sakurai), Karamatsu (Yuichi Nakamura), Choromatsu (Hiroshi Kamiya), Ichimatsu (Jun Fukuyama), Jyushimatsu (Daisuke Ono), and Todomatsu (Miyu Irino) — who have grown up and are living self-indulgent lives as NEETs. The first season of the TV series was broadcast in 2015, the second in 2017, and the third in 2020. Theatrical anime will also be released in 2019, 2022, and 2023.
Broadcasting will begin at midnight on July 8th on six TV Tokyo affiliated stations. This will be the first time the series has been broadcast simultaneously on six stations. It will also be aired on AT-X from the 9th. Advance streaming will begin on Anime Times, Lemino, U-NEXT, and Animehodai from noon on the 9th. Streaming on other platforms will begin at midnight on the 12th.
The PV features a snippet of the opening theme song, “Osomatsu-san’s Bombache!” by DA PUMP. Set to the high-energy tune, it offers a glimpse into the “most silly summer” the sextuplets spend at their own pace.

The main visual is a new drawing by Eiji Yasuhiko, who serves as character designer and general animation director. In addition to the sextuplets enjoying the summer in their own way, it is a lively illustration that includes a spaceship and a giant octopus.
The ending theme song for the 4th season will be “Buddy,” sung by Hitomi of the three-member band “Atarayo,” and featuring a dialogue between the sextuplets. The lyrics, composition, and arrangement will be handled by music producer Seiji Kameda.
The full comments from Hitomi and Kameda are as follows.

I have been tasked with singing “Buddy,” the ending theme for the fourth season of the TV anime “Mr. Osomatsu.” I’m Hitomi, the vocalist for Ataraya. When I first heard about the project, I was happy but also felt a bit of pressure, but with Kameda Seiji producing, we went through a lot of trial and error and ended up with a wonderful song. I hope you enjoy listening to the song along with the anime.

The world depicted by Fujio Akatsuka accepts diversity, allows things to go beyond the boundaries, and is always on the side of the weak. That Akatsuka world has been alive in “Mr. Osomatsu” for over half a century. I spun the melody and words with my thoughts on each of these lovable sextuplets. We can survive because we have important friends. “Buddy” is my way of giving back to Mr. Akatsuka, who created my life.

Summer vibes with the Matsuno sextuplets return in full swing
The newly released PV and main visual for Mr. Osomatsu Season 4 present the beloved sextuplets indulging in the carefree joys of summer. Known for its absurdist humor and unpredictable storytelling, the series seems poised to continue blending slice-of-life charm with surreal comedy. The ending theme “Atarayo” by Hitomi adds a nostalgic and emotional tone, hinting that this season may explore more mature or reflective themes beneath the surface antics. Fans can expect a mix of classic slapstick and perhaps a deeper look into the characters as they grow into adulthood—without quite leaving their childishness behind.
