It has been revealed that “Official Hige Dandism” will be in charge of the theme song for the theatrical anime “Hyakuem.”, which will be released on September 19th. The official trailer and official visual have also been released.
The original work, which was serialized on Kodansha’s manga app “Magazine Pocket” from 2018 to 2019, is the serial debut work of Uo Toyo, who also wrote “Chi. – About the Earth’s Movement-“. Elementary school student Togashi, who has found his place in the world because he was born with fast legs, meets transfer student Komiya, who runs to forget his harsh reality, and they become rivals and best friends through the 100-meter sprint. A few years later, Komiya, who has become one of the top runners, appears in front of Togashi, who has become famous as a genius runner but is afraid of having to keep winning. The book will be published in 5 volumes (2 volumes in the new edition).
The title of the theme song by “Official Hige Dandism” is “Rashisa”. The band members were so impressed by the original manga that they decided to collaborate with this work. The cover of the album features an illustration drawn by Uo Toyo, inspired by the song.

The first half of the trailer shows Togashi and Komiya as elementary school students becoming obsessed with the 100-meter sprint. In the second half, with “Rashisa” playing, the line of the absolute champion Zaitsu (Uchiyama Koki) “Life is always full of possibilities to lose. What do you want to do?” is the trigger, and Jinshin (Kasama Jun) and Kaito (Tsuda Kenjiro), who have a major influence on the two’s lives, also appear, showing the passion and madness of the runners who have put everything into athletics. The visual shows Togashi and Komiya running along with the catchphrase “Engrave this distance.”

In addition, advance sale movie ticket cards have started at screening theaters nationwide and major mail order sites. The ticket face is decorated with a teaser visual, and comes with a four-cut sticker with the logo of the Iwashi Second High School track and field club to which Togashi belongs, and the cafeteria-only “Iwakoro bread”. The price is 1600 yen. Ticket Pia is selling movie ticket cards that come with a set of two acrylic stands of Togashi and Komiya. The price is 2300 yen.

The work “100 M.” has touched and heated my heart many times. I felt very happy to be able to write the theme song for such a work. The song is “Rashisa”. The world is full of strong enemies, such as opponents that you can never beat, and yourself that will definitely get in your way. But I wrote this song as a hymn to all those who do not accept or get used to these things and fight against them “absolutely”. I hope it will add color to the work and be a companion to the daily lives of those who listen to it.
