Set in Sweets Land, where candy and humans coexist peacefully, the film follows the singing and dancing super idols, the “Tabekko Animals,” as they embark on a mission to rescue their friends captured by the evil “Cotton Candy Army” seeking world domination.
Akari Takaishi, who made headlines with her performance in last year’s animated film The Color of You, takes on the role of Pegasus-chan, the top singer in the globally popular idol group “Tabekko Animals.” In this film, she showcases her natural singing talents to the fullest.
The newly released clip features a scene where Pegasus-chan’s beautiful voice fills the night sky. Imprisoned at the top of a castle by the Cotton Candy Army, Pegasus-chan encounters a small cotton candy creature — a devoted fan who shares the same “☆” mark over its left eye. Pegasus-chan gives the ultimate fan service by singing Tsubasa mo Tsuno Nai Tatte, her signature song and a favorite of Cotton Candy.
The lyrics, celebrating individuality and unconditional love with lines like “Each person’s different colors blend together to become a painting” and “You are loved more than you think,” embody the warm spirit of the Tabekko Animals, a group of diverse and unique characters. One of the highlights of the film is the uplifting scene where townspeople and Tabekko Animals, initially fleeing from Cotton Candy, are drawn together by Pegasus-chan’s heartfelt singing.

The newly released hand-drawn-style posters feature Lion-kun offering a sweet with the message, “Enjoy this little bit of courage,” and a mysterious figure resembling Lion-kun flying alongside Pegasus-chan. Another adorable visual showcases the gathered tails of the world-famous super idols, the “Tabekko Animals,” as they embark on their thrilling adventure.

It has been announced that the Lion-kun Popcorn Box and Lion-kun Drink Cup Holder, perfect for enhancing your movie-watching experience, will be available at cinema concession stands nationwide (excluding some locations) starting May 1, the film’s release date.
