Material Collector Isekai Cast Announced

Takeru

It has been revealed that Shimazaki Nobunaga will play the protagonist Takeru, Ito Ayasa will play his partner Bee, and Koichi Makoto will play the heroine Brolight in the TV anime “Material Collector’s Travels in Another World” which will begin airing in October. In addition, “Nornis” will be in charge of the opening theme song.

The original work by Masuo Kinoko, currently being serialized on the novel and manga submission site Alphapolis, won both the Grand Prize and the Reader’s Award at the 9th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Awards, and is a popular work with a total of over 1.95 million copies in circulation (including electronic versions). The story follows Takeru Jingu, an ordinary office worker who is reincarnated into the world of swords and magic, Madeus, as he travels around the other world as a “material collector” using a variety of supernatural powers (gifts) such as enhanced physical abilities, enormous magical power, and the “exploration ability” to find valuable things. There are 16 volumes of the printed version already published.

Brolight

Takeru, played by Shimazaki, is a former office worker who loves eating and bathing. Bee, played by Ito, is the child of an ancient dragon who travels with Takeru, and Brolight, played by Koichi, is an elf with beautiful features, but has a strong appetite and is mischievous.

The opening theme song will be performed by “Nornis,” a female vocal unit consisting of Inui Tokoto and Machida Chima, who belong to the VTuber group “Nijisanji.” The song title and release information have not been announced.

Brolight, who behaves like a boy, is a character who breaks the notion of beautiful and noble elves… but at the same time, he also has a glimpse of his noble side. I had fun acting freely and with his ever-changing expressions. And… this character is actually ◯◯… I made frequent use of ◯◯ sounds while acting. I wonder what ◯◯ is… Stay tuned!

I was very happy when I heard that I would be performing the theme song! Now, I’m excited to see how our “Nornis” song will be involved in the world of “Material Collector’s Otherworldly Travels”, as if it were the beginning of a journey!
