The currently-showing animated film “KING OF PRISM – Your Endless Call – Let’s all sparkle! Prism Tours” will be screened in SCREENX, 4DX, and ULTRA 4DX versions starting August 22nd.
The “KING OF PRISM” series, which began in 2016, is a spin-off of the 2013 TV anime “Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live.” It depicts a group of unique male idols captivated by “Prism Shows,” a fusion of figure skating, singing, and dance, as they face various challenges and difficulties in their quest to become “Prism Stars.”
The latest film in the series, “KING OF PRISM – Your Endless Call – Let’s all sparkle! Prism Tours,” which premiered on June 27th, features the “Pretty Boys” from previous “Pretty Series” films, who travel through time and space in a time machine to perform a variety of new Prism Shows. As of July 22nd, the film has grossed 400 million yen and attracted a record 240,000 viewers.
In the SCREENX version, images are projected onto the left and right walls in addition to the screen in front of you, allowing you to enjoy the film with a 270-degree field of view. In the 4DX version, seats move back and forth, up and down, left and right in sync with the scenes in the film, and special effects such as wind, water (mist), fragrance, and smoke make the film feel like an attraction. The ULTRA 4DX version allows you to experience the film using both SCREENX and 4DX systems together.
