The romantic comedy manga Do Androids Count as Experienced? is getting a short anime adaptation, and its key visual has been released.
Created by Yakiniku Teishoku, the manga is currently serialized in Comic Yurihime (Ichijinsha) and has sold over 150,000 copies, including digital editions.
The story follows Akane Tsuda, a career-focused office worker who, feeling drunk and lonely, impulsively buys a love android named Nadeshiko. Their chaotic cohabitation life unfolds from there.
Volume 6 of the series will be released on May 16.

The short anime adaptation will be produced by Deregula, an anime label under Wave, the company behind AnimeFesta. Deregula also produced A Dark Elf with a Slightly Heavy Love Followed Me from Another World.
This marks their fourth project, following A Married Woman’s Lips Taste Like Canned Chuhai and Don’t Touch Me, Kotesashi-kun, both slated for release and broadcast in 2025.
The newly released key visual features Akane looking flustered as Nadeshiko embraces her.
A special comment from the manga’s author, Yakiniku Teishoku, has also been released, along with a commemorative illustration celebrating the anime adaptation.

“Do Androids Count as Experienced?” is getting a short anime adaptation! I was completely surprised when I first heard the news, but it’s finally starting to sink in. I’m really excited to see Akane and Nadeshiko moving and speaking on screen.
I hope all of you who’ve been following the series will enjoy the anime as much as I will. It’ll still be a while before it airs, but I’ll keep working hard to make the manga even more popular in the meantime. Thank you for your continued support!
