It has been announced that the broadcast start date of the TV anime “Yuusha Kei ni Tou: Punishment Hero 9004 Corps Prison Record” will be postponed from October to January 2026. The reason for the postponement was announced on the official website as “to further improve the quality of the work and deliver it to everyone in a way that can fully convey the appeal of the work.”
It has also been announced that the first episode starting in January 2026 will be a 60-minute extended special.
The work is based on a light novel by Rocket Company. Zylo Forverts, a former commander of the Holy Knights who was sentenced to the “Heroic Punishment,” a punishment heavier than death, makes a contract with Teoritta, the goddess of swords, who is the strongest biological weapon, in order to take revenge on those who framed him.

First Episode Will Be a 60-Minute Special Premiere
The delay of Brave Punishment from October 2025 to January 2026 may initially disappoint fans, but the announcement of a 60-minute extended premiere could be a sign of increased production quality or additional content. Delays like this are often a strategic move in the anime industry to avoid production issues and to align with stronger broadcast slots. With the new year slot, the series may benefit from greater visibility and impact. Let’s hope the wait results in a more polished and compelling story.
