Fat, Love and Mistakes! Anime in October

The TV anime “Debu, Love, and Mistakes!” will begin broadcasting in October, and it has been revealed that Endo Aya and Uchida Yuuma will star in the series. The first PV, main staff, and teaser visuals have also been released.

The original is a slapstick office love comedy by Mamakari, currently being serialized on the manga distribution site “Comic Seymour”. Koda Yumeko, who was a bundle of complexes and hated herself, lost her memory in an accident and became the polar opposite, becoming super positive and self-affirming. While cutting off the worries of those around her, she also approached the truth of her own accident. In 2022, a live-action drama version was broadcast, starring Kana from “3-ji no Heroine” and Takuya Kusakawa from “Bullet Train”.

Endo will play the main character Yumeko, and Uchida will play Yuki Keisuke, the vice president of the confectionery manufacturer Saibara where Yumeko works. Uchida has also been chosen to sing the ending theme “I’m Glad I’m the One!!!”

The first PV shows Yumeko, whose personality has changed dramatically since her accident, becoming extremely positive, and how she restarts her life and love life after meeting Yuki.

The staff includes director Koga Kazuomi of “Rent-A-Girlfriend,” scriptwriter and series composition by Watadan Aya, who also wrote the script for the live-action drama version, and character design by Takahashi Atsuko of “Hell Teacher Nube.” Music is by Takano Satoshi and Nakano Karin of “The Unpopular Job of Appraiser is Actually the Strongest,” and animation is by Marvy Jack of “The Former Hero Who Was Called a Failure Was Banished from His Family Home, So He Decided to Live as He Likes.”

It will first be broadcast on TOKYO MX from 11pm on October 6th, followed by Sun TV from 11:30pm on the 6th, BS Fuji from midnight on the 8th, and ABC TV from 12:40am on the 12th. Details of other broadcast and streaming information will be released at a later date.

A teaser visual has also been released, showing Yuki and Yumeko who have become lost in a pop, sparkling world of sweets, and looking very happy, evoking Yuki being drawn into Yumeko’s world of positivity.
