A new singing clip featuring Pegasus-chan, voiced by Akari Takaishi, has been released from the theatrical anime Tabekko Animals THE MOVIE. The clip highlights her beautiful singing voice, and three charming hand-drawn poster visuals were also unveiled.

This 3DCG animated film is based on Ginbis’s beloved animal-shaped biscuits, Tabekko Animals, which have been cherished by generations since their launch in 1978. The story follows an “unexpected great adventure” in Sweets Land, where candy and humans coexist in harmony. The Tabekko Animals, popular idols known for their singing and dancing, face a crisis when Pegasus-chan is kidnapped by the evil Cotton Candy Army, which plans to wipe out all sweets and take over the world. Despite being fluffy and cute—and completely non-combative—the Tabekko Animals embark on an impossible mission to rescue their friend.

Pegasus-chan is voiced by Akari Takaishi, who was recently cast as the lead in NHK’s upcoming morning drama Bakeke(set to air in late 2025). Her exceptional singing ability, already noted in her voice acting debut in last year’s anime film Kimi no Iro, has again drawn attention. In the film, Pegasus-chan stands out as the top diva of the world-famous idol group “Tabekko Doubutsu.”

Co-stars Koji Mizukami (Elephant-kun) and Riria Ohno (Pero, a traveling companion of the Tabekko Animals) have also praised Takaishi’s powerful vocal performance as Pegasus-chan.

The newly released singing clip features a touching scene where Pegasus-chan’s voice soars into the night sky. She is imprisoned on the top floor of a castle by the evil “Cotton Candy Army,” who aim to take over the world. In the scene, a small cotton candy fan with a star-shaped mark in its left eye—just like Pegasus-chan—appears before her. In a heartfelt act of “ultimate fan service,” Pegasus-chan performs the fan’s favorite song, Take no Tsubasa mo Tsuno Nai Tattete, right in front of them.

One of the hand-drawn poster visuals shows Lion-kun offering a piece of candy with the words “Enjoy a pinch of courage.” Another depicts a mysterious, winged figure resembling Lion-kun flying beside Pegasus-chan. The third visual features an adorable image of the fluffy tails of the Tabekko Animals—the globally famous idol group—who are about to set off on a grand adventure.
