Synopsis
Shortly after the fierce battle with the Mononoke Karakasa, the medicine seller (Kamiya Hiroshi) appears in the Ooku again. Changes have occurred within the Ooku as a result of the aftermath of the previous incident. Otomo Button (Tomatsu Haruka), who comes from a distinguished family and succeeds Utayama, who was the general director, exercises strict management, valuing discipline and balance. As a result, a rift develops between him and Fuki (Hikasa Yoko), a self-made court lady who is the favorite of the emperor, and the gap between them only deepens. As the selection of a guardian for the baby born to the emperor’s wife, the Empress’s wife, Sachiko, progresses, a major incident occurs that changes Fuki’s situation. As a result, the schemes of men who are driven out of consideration for Otomo, Button’s father, close in on Fuki. Confusing intentions, and the schemes of the “firemen” that eventually go out of control… At the same time, a series of human combustion incidents occur in which people suddenly burst into flames and turn to charcoal. The medicine seller suspects that it is the work of a Mononoke and tries to defuse the situation, but is overwhelmed by the monsters, who move in groups and appear out of nowhere. In order to slay the Mononoke, the medicine seller steps into the darkness that lurks within the inner palace to discover the three aspects of the monsters: form, truth, and reason. Music
