The modern battle action novel “The Hero’s Scum” has been decided to be made into a TV anime. It will be broadcast on the Nippon Television Network. The teaser visual and special PV have been released.
The original novel by Rocket Company won the Grand Prize in the Modern Action category at the “1st Kakuyomu Web Novel Contest”. Nakashima 723’s comic book adaptation, although produced and distributed by himself, has sold over 50,000 copies in total and was nominated for the “Next Manga Award” for two consecutive years. Set in 21st century Tokyo, ruled by the mafia who have become “Demon Kings” through ether (magic) strengthening surgery, the story depicts the exploits of the “Heroes”, bounty hunters who defeat the Demon King. Yashiro, a freelance hero nicknamed “Reaper”, becomes embroiled in a nasty incident when Aki Jogamine, a high school girl who aspires to be a hero, shows up to become his apprentice. The latest comic book volume 7 was released on March 21. Plans are also underway to republish the original novel.

I love ramen, so I use ramen as an analogy for this joy. The enthusiasm of the staff involved and the wonderful work they have done remind me of the harmony between the clear yet rich clam stock soup and the delicate yet chewy thin noodles, and I can’t help but feel excited. This is all thanks to the support of our readers, so I look forward to the day when we can all enjoy it together.
