It has been decided that a new animation “Cyborg 009 Nemesis” based on the manga “Cyborg 009” by Shotaro Ishinomori (※) will be produced.
The story is about nine cyborgs, including Joe Shimamura, who are modified by an evil organization to become human weapons for war, but escape the organization and fight to eliminate conflict from the world. The work will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2024.
*The “no” character in Shotaro Ishinomori’s name is officially written as about 60% smaller.
