The Ragged Young Lady 2nd PV Released

Tanaka Minami, Kimura Ryohei, Hikasa Yoko, and Ohara Sayaka have been confirmed to appear in the TV anime “Zutaboro Reijou is Doted on by Her Sister’s Ex-Fiance,” which will air in July. Details of the theme song have also been revealed, along with the second promotional video, second key visual, and broadcast schedule.

The original work, currently serialized by Tobirano on the novel submission website “Let’s Become a Novelist,” is a popular fantasy novel series with a total circulation of over 2 million copies. Marie (voiced by Motomura Reina), the second daughter of a baron who grew up in an oppressive environment, meets the wealthy Count Cyrus Granado (Hamano Daiki) one day and the two are attracted to each other. However, due to a misunderstanding, Cyrus proposes to Marie’s older sister. However, following her sister’s death in an accident, Marie ends up marrying into the Count’s family instead…

Tanaka will play Marie’s older sister Anastasia, who is cheerful and sociable but dies in an accident; Kimura will play Ruifeng, the third prince of the Kingdom of Dilts, a schoolmate of Kyros and the commander of the kingdom’s knights; Hikasa will play Mio, the head chamberlain and bodyguard of the Count of Granado; and Ohara will play Kyros’ mother, Liu Liu, a former traveling entertainer.

The opening theme song will be “Gesshoku” sung by singer-songwriter krage, and the ending theme will be “Marie” by Kumakawa Miyu’s music project, Myuk.

The second promotional video, set to the never-before-seen audio of “Gesshoku,” depicts Marie beginning to look forward amid Kyros’ kind words and her daily life with her friends. The four new characters announced this time also make voice appearances. A portion of the audio of “Marie” was also unveiled for the first time in the promotional commercial released at the same time. The second key visual shows Marie, who is to marry into the Count of Granado family, wearing her dress and being escorted down the stairs inside the castle by Cyrus.

The series will start airing on MBS, TBS, and CBC from 1:53am on July 4th, and will also air on BS-TBS from 2:30am.

It has also been announced that a special stage performance will be held just before the broadcast at the “Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2025,” which will be held in the Chayamachi area of Umeda, Osaka, in June. Motomura, Hamano, Tanaka, Kimura, and Hikasa will appear. The performance will begin at 11:00 AM on June 21st at Josho Hall, Osaka Institute of Technology’s Umeda Campus. Admission is free, and lottery entries are being accepted on the event’s official website. The performance will be livestreamed on MBS’s official YouTube channel.

This story will make you wish happiness upon the pitiable yet adorable Marie. It also contains mystery, adventure, and the characters’ growth. The charming, smiling Lui Fong also adds excitement to the story!

[Yoko Hikasa (Mio)]

Mio may appear cool, but she’s not without emotion. She cares deeply for and wants to protect Kyros, and she has immense trust and affection for Marie, the girl Kyros is in love with. At times, she watches over them like a big sister, but at other times, she reveals her emotions, only to quickly return to normal. While I feel this role is challenging in some ways, I’ll do my best to portray Mio’s playful, playful expression of affection!

I was deeply moved by the way the kind and adorable protagonist Marie, who is on the verge of losing confidence in herself during difficult times, experiences new emotions as she experiences happiness.
