Continuing from the first season, Madhouse will be in charge of animation for the second season, which will continue the story from the end of the first season, when Frieren, his apprentice Fern who has qualified as a first-class wizard, and the warrior Stark set out from the land of Oisast, the setting of the “First-Class Wizard Exam Arc,” and will be adapted from chapter 61 of volume 7 of the original manga.
The second teaser visual features the copy “A silly, irreplaceable adventure,” and shows Frieren, Fern, and Stark enjoying a foot bath in a hot spring.
In response to the announcement, Tanezaki Atsumi, who plays Frieren, commented, “I’m filled with all sorts of emotions, including relief, happiness, and the feeling that I have to work hard on the dubbing, knowing that the series will actually start airing in January next year. A silly, but irreplaceable adventure. I’m also excited to think that we’ll be able to see Frieren and her friends’ adventures again from January. Everyone, please look forward to it.”
