It has been revealed that the TV anime “Alien Muumuu” will enter its second season with the episode airing on July 2nd. In conjunction with this, it has been announced that the new opening theme song will be “MOVE MOVE” sung by singer-songwriter A-ko, and the key visual for the second season and the third PV have been released.
The original work by Yuki Miyashita is a home appliance comedy manga currently being serialized in “Young King Ours” (published by Shonen Gahosha). The story follows ordinary college student Sakurako Umeyashiki (CV: Momono Harumi), who gets caught up in the turmoil caused by cat-like alien Muumuu (Etsuko Kozakura), who comes to Earth to learn about home appliance technology in order to recover lost technology. The TV anime, which started airing in April this year, will be broadcast in two consecutive seasons.
In the second season, radicals from Muumuu’s planet begin their invasion of Earth. The new key visual shows MuuMuu clashing with the radical serval cat Dry (Yoshino Hiroyuki), with the tiger admiral Carnival visible behind them. The tagline for the second season is “VS the radicals — the real cat fight begins now.”
The first half of the third PV consists of live-action footage featuring Dry (the serval cat) and Carnival (the tiger). The second half features animation footage depicting the crisis that befalls the Earth as the radicals attack, with “MOVE MOVE” playing in the background.

New Enemies and a New OP: Season 2 Promises Chaos
“Alien Mu-Mu” returns for a second season filled with intergalactic turmoil as the Radical invaders descend upon Earth. The inclusion of new antagonists hints at a darker and more action-packed narrative compared to the first season’s comedic tone. A-ko’s role in performing the new opening theme also suggests she may play a more central role in the upcoming storyline, possibly hinting at hidden powers or a deeper backstory. Season 2 could mark a tonal shift and character development for long-time fans to enjoy.
