The Ghibli 3D Modeling Exhibition, an exhibition that explores the appeal of Studio Ghibli works, will be held at Terada Warehouse B&C HALL/E HALL in Tennoz, Tokyo from May 27th.
Studio Ghibli works are loved all over the world, including “How Do You Live?”, which has been released in over 80 countries and regions. This exhibition will introduce famous scenes from Ghibli works through 3D models, tracing how overseas partners who love Ghibli delivered the works when Ghibli was not as well known as it is now. The 3D Modeling Exhibition is the origin of the full-scale Studio Ghibli exhibition that began in 2003, and this will be the first time it has been held in Tokyo in 22 years.

The highlight is a flying boat that is based on the “Savoia S-21” flying boat, the beloved aircraft of Porco Rosso, the protagonist of “Porco Rosso,” and is a representation of what it would be like if it really existed. It was created mainly by special effects expert Hiroshi Ihara, and visitors are greeted at Terada Warehouse, which faces the canal and is a place that looks just like the Piccolo company in the movie.
