“Studio Ghibli’s Ocean Waves Returns to Theaters Nationwide from July 4”

Studio Ghibli’s 1993 TV movie Ocean Waves is returning to the big screen for a limited three-week nationwide screening starting July 4, 2025. As part of the “Filmarks Revival” project, the film will be shown at 139 theaters across Japan, with more to be added later. Fans can enjoy special admission bonuses and relive this coming-of-age classic in theaters for the first time nationwide.

“First TV Broadcast of Miyazaki’s ‘How Do You Live?’ and ‘Porco Rosso’ on Friday Road Show”

Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film How Do You Live? will make its first-ever terrestrial TV appearance on May 2, airing uncut on Friday Road Show. To commemorate the broadcast, a special Ghibli program will air on April 29, introducing the story, characters, and Miyazaki’s career highlights. The film was a major hit in Japan and abroad, topping the U.S. box office and winning Best Animated Feature at both the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards. On May 9, Porco Rosso will also air, giving fans back-to-back Ghibli magic. Plus, voice actor Satoshi Yamazato visits Ghibli Park to explore exhibits that bring the studio’s worlds to life.
