“TRIGUN STARGAZE”, the final installment of the new animated series based on Yasuhiro Nightow’s manga “TRIGUN”, has been announced for broadcast in 2026, and a teaser visual has been released.

The main staff of “TRIGUN STARGAZE” has been partially changed from the previous “TRIGUN STAMPEDE”, and the new director will be Masako Sato, who is from Studio Ghibli and also directed “Haikyu!! TO THE TOP” and “Anima Yell!”. The series composition and script will be handled by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who worked on “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” and “Shangri-La Frontier”, and the character design will be handled by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who worked on “Look Back”. Orange will continue to be in charge of animation production from “TRIGUN STAMPEDE”.
The teaser visual, created by character designer Oshiyama, features a dynamic drawing of the main character Vash against a bright red background, with the catchphrase “Live and suffer.” written next to him.
This series is a new 3DCG anime adaptation of the manga “Trigun,” which was serialized from 1995 to 2007. Set on the desert planet No Man’s Land, the series follows the journey of Vash the Stampede, a troublemaker bounty hunter known as the Human Typhoon, as he pursues his evil twin brother Millions Knives. The final episode, “TRIGUN STARGAZE,” is set two and a half years after the final episode of “TRIGUN STAMPEDE,” and tells the story of a new story spun by Vash and his friends, as well as the ideals that one man continued to wish for and their conclusion.
“TRIGUN STARGAZE” will begin airing in 2026. The previous work, “TRIGUN STAMPEDE,” will be available for free streaming on YouTube for a limited time from March 24th.
Comments from Director Sato and Matsuoka, and the free streaming schedule for “TRIGUN STAMPEDE” are as follows:

This is the final chapter of the new Trigun series. How will the battle between Vash and Knives end? We hope you will pick up the original work and enjoy both stories.

This is the end of the story. What will happen from the ending of “STAMPEDE”? We acted with all our might in order to achieve a satisfying ending, so I hope you will enjoy it all. I think Vash’s charm is that he never gives up. He is a natural kind-hearted person… but he is a man with such strong beliefs that he cannot be explained by the word “kind-hearted”, so I hope you will watch over him no matter how he ends. In “STARGAZE”, the environment surrounding Vash is different, so even if you know the original work, it was quite difficult to express emotions. But one thing I can say is that Vash is Vash. That will never change no matter what happens. This time, there are many cool scenes that will give you goosebumps, heartwarming scenes, and scenes that will make you laugh and cry! Please watch and see what kind of future each character imagines and moves forward. Thank you for your support of “TRIGUN STARGAZE”!
