The second season of the TV anime “Vigilante -My Hero Academia ILLEGALS-” has been decided to be broadcast in 2026, and the teaser visual and production announcement video have been released. In addition, a video of comments from the main cast members Shuuichirou Umeda, Ikumi Hasegawa, and Yasuhiro Mamiya was also shown.

The original work is an official spin-off of “My Hero Academia”, written by Hideyuki Furuhashi (script) and Arahito Bete (illustration), and serialized in “Jump GIGA” (published by Shueisha) and “Shonen Jump +”. Set several years after “My Hero Academia”, it depicts those who could not become a hero, the “chosen profession”, but cannot help but save the people in front of them, working as illegal heroes. The first season aired its final episode on June 30th, and information about the second season was announced immediately after it.

The teaser visual for the second season shows the main character, Koichi, walking forward with a tense expression on his face, blown by the wind, Pop looking worriedly at Koichi, and Knuckle walking away. In addition, the visual also features the mysterious villain, a scarred man, whose information was released after the broadcast of episode 12, giving the design a hint of a new battle.
