Season 2 of the TV anime “My Neighbor, Aarya-san, Who Sometimes Whims in Russian” has been announced to air in 2026. The first teaser visual has been released.
The original work by Sansan SUN, which originated from the novel submission site “Let’s Become a Novelist”, is a romantic comedy novel that has sold over 5.5 million copies (including e-books) worldwide. It depicts the love story between Alisa Mikhailovna Kujo (nicknamed Aarya/CV: Sumire Uesaka), who is seen by those around her as a solitary princess, and the underachiever Kuze Masachika (Amasaki Kohei) who sits next to her. Aarya sometimes teases Masachika in Russian that most people don’t understand, revealing an unexpected side of herself, but in fact Masachika understands Russian. Ten volumes of the book version (published by KADOKAWA) have already been published. The TV anime aired a total of 12 episodes in 2024.
The first teaser visual shows the relationship between Aarya and Masachika, which has grown a little closer in Season 1, with the two sitting next to each other and looking out for each other.
The main staff includes director Haraguchi Hiroshi, who participated in Season 1 as director and storyboarder, and series composition by Yamada Yuka, who worked on Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. Character designer Murota Yuhei and animation production company Doga Kobo will be continuing from Season 1.

It’s been a year since the first season of the anime “Rosider” began airing! Congratulations!! I’m happy to be able to announce the next update for the second season at such a good time! I can’t wait to see how the second season of the anime will unfold, as there are many scenes I like to see. And above all!! You can see the cute Aarya again!! This is the best. If you haven’t seen the first season yet, I strongly recommend that you catch up on it before the second season!! And let’s all look forward to the broadcast date in 2026!! I will do my best to play Kuze Masachika, so please look forward to it!!
[Uesaka Sumire (role of Aarya)]

Finally…finally!! The second season of “Rosidere” is coming! I’m so excited! I’m really looking forward to meeting Aarya and the others again. Even after the first season ended, I received a lot of comments like “Aarya is so cute!” and “I’m looking forward to season 2!”, and I myself, as a cast member and as a fan, have been waiting for the sequel. I will do my best to express the charm of cute Aarya! Please look forward to it!
[Sansan SUN (original author)] Thanks to everyone’s support, the second season of the Rosidere anime will finally be airing next year! …Hmm? Director, what is it? Wait, do you want me to read this out loud? Um, what is that… “Most of the original anime content for the second season of the Roshi Dere anime was written by the original author. For fans of the original work, if there are scenes that differ from the original, we ask that you please not misunderstand and think, ‘What is this original anime content? Isn’t the production company just doing whatever they want?'”… Well, that’s how we’re working together, with mutual respect, so please look after us.
