The anime “Keroro Gunso” is based on a comedy manga by Yoshizaki Mine that has been serialized in “Monthly Shonen Ace” (KADOKAWA) since 1999, and depicts the chaos caused by a frog-like alien that comes to Earth. The TV series was broadcast for seven years from 2004, and five theatrical anime films were also produced. The official YouTube channel started in April 2021, and in 2024, the original manga celebrated its 25th anniversary and the TV anime celebrated its 20th anniversary.
In addition, Ano, who is known as a fan of “Keroro Gunso”, has been appointed as the promotional captain for the project. In the super special trailer recently released, “ano & Soshina” sings the song “Keroro Returns Again! To March”, which was newly created as a 20th anniversary version. Ano will be appearing as a guest on the official radio show for the anime series “Sergeant Keroro,” “Sergeant Keroro’s Kero! Radio,” which will be broadcast on July 3rd at 9pm (released on the official YouTube channel, “Keroro Channel”).
In the special trailer, along with the lyrics “Keroro and March are back again,” Keroro jumps out of the 20th anniversary project logo, strikes a pose and says, “The film version is currently in the works! Please look forward to it!” The content is sure to build anticipation for the first film version in 16 years.

The new movie version of “Sergeant Keroro” will be released in the summer of 2026. Comments from the original author Yoshizaki, the staff, and the singers of “Keroro Returns! And March,” including ano and Soshina, are as follows:
[Yoshizaki Mine (original author)]

I’m Yoshizaki Mine, the author of the original work. At last, those evil aliens are returning to the cinema! There are many expectations and anxieties swirling around, but I’m also happy and excited that the reliable staff have reunited! And the person who will be leading this eccentric cast of characters and staff is… Fukuda-san? Seriously?! It’s already an unknown as to how the movie will turn out, but now it’s completely unpredictable. The only thing I can say is that I’m so excited it’s getting in the way of my work! I hope everyone is looking forward to the release!
[Screenplay and Director in Chief: Fukuda Yuichi]

I will be the scriptwriter and general director of the latest movie version of “Sergeant Keroro”. General director sounds arrogant, but basically, once I write the script, the animation director does almost all the work of making the animation, and if anything happens, I’ll say this or that, or I’ll do some directing in the dubbing. I’ve been a big fan of “Sergeant Keroro” since it was on TV. At the time, I was still a variety show scriptwriter, and I wrote the script for the show while watching “Sergeant Keroro”, which left a strong impression on me. I love parody material, so when I watched “Sergeant Keroro”, I was half surprised and thought, “Wow, they can do something like this”. I really envied the unrestrained style of the work. That’s why I was so happy when I received this offer. Of course, I have a favorite character, but I won’t mention it here because it would be like I’m being too picky. In writing the script, I received a lot of help from the original author, Yoshizaki Mine, and the producer and director who have been involved since the TV broadcast, and I studied and studied and completed it. I think it’s a work that fully expresses the admiration I felt for “Sergeant Keroro”! The theme song is sung by someone who makes you think “Whaaat! This person!?” and the guest voice actors are people who make you think “This person! No way!?”, so I think we’ve prepared a lot of surprises while keeping the fun of “Sergeant Keroro” intact, so please look forward to the release next year!
[Director Ozaki Fumitoshi]
The sergeants are back after a long time! And it’s great to be able to work with them again after such a long time, but it’s also a miracle that I get to work with Fukuda Yuichi. I’m enjoying creating this miraculous collaboration of Fukuda world x Yoshizaki world. I think it’s going to be a very lively, noisy (laughs) and fun work, so please look forward to the release!
[Koike Satoshi (Character Design)] I reunited with Keroro and the gang for the first time in 14 years since the TV series ended in 2011. That means the Pekopon invasion hasn’t been accomplished yet (laughs). Keroro has been a big part of my career. I want to make this a movie that people who were kids back then, and kids now can enjoy!
[Watanabe Kumiko (Sergeant Keroro)]
W-What?! The squad that’s making the least progress in their invasion in the universe! The squad that only does it when it’s time! The squad with a captain who prioritizes Gunpla over missions! But, that’s just my meta-play, you silly Pekopon people! Now is the time for you to experience the true power of our squad at the theater! It’s gerogerogerogero (black vortex resonance), so, hey, hey, we’ll be waiting for you at the theater! A promise with me♡
[Etsuko Kozakura (Private Tamama)]
I can’t believe it, the new movie version of “Sergeant Keroro”! I never imagined something like this would happen. I’m so happy. I don’t often get to meet all the cast members at once, so the dubbing will surely be a festival. I’ll bring lots of throat lozenges so I don’t laugh too much and lose my voice! I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of story it will be. I hope all the fans will join in the festivities.
[Houko Kuwashima (Fuyuki Hinata)]
After a long time, I’m participating in the new movie version of “Sergeant Keroro” with the same surprise as everyone else. The other day, I recorded the super special PV, and it’s starting to feel real. I hope I can savor the happiness of being able to dub with that cast team, including Kumiko Watanabe, who plays Sergeant Keroro. See you at the theater!!

I am very much looking forward to the new movie version of “Sergeant Keroro” that will be released in the summer of 2026. I have watched “Sergeant Keroro” a lot since I was little, from the comic books to the TV anime and the movie version, and as you can tell from my social media, I love it so much that I have a lot of merchandise! I have been appointed as the “New Keroro Platoon Member, That Nono Promotion Captain” for “Sergeant Keroro” and sang a new version of “Kero! To March” with Soshina, a song that I have been listening to for a long time. My teacher incorporated many of my ideas into the lyrics. The recording was also fun. I hope you will look forward to it along with the new work!
[Sergeant Keroro]

This is Soshina with the glaring eyes. I’m overwhelmed that I can sing the new version of “Kero! March”! It’s all thanks to Ano-chan. I’m very grateful. I was given the opportunity to sing the solo part that Nobuhiro Kakuta used to sing, and as a fan of a certain pachinko machine, it was a great honor. I’d like everyone to hear this more than the theme song for the movie version of “Sergeant Keroro” sung by Harisenbon!
