As a new bonus for moviegoers of the currently-showing “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns,” a “Clear Card (6 types)” will be distributed nationwide to 4 million people starting August 9th.
Each Clear Card features a unique character combination design, and one of the six types will be distributed randomly (for the standard, IMAX, and Dolby Cinema versions. Distribution is scheduled to end on August 22nd, or while supplies last).
The “Third Key Visual Illustration Board,” which began distribution on August 2nd, will be distributed until August 8th at theaters with remaining stock.
“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is a battle action manga by Koyoharu Gotouge that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. Set in the Taisho era, the story follows Kamado Tanjiro (voiced by Hanae Natsuki), a young boy whose sister has been turned into a demon, as he throws himself into the battle against demons led by Kibutsuji Muzan (Seki Toshihiko). The first season of the anime, “Kamado Tanjiro: The Unwavering Resolve Arc,” aired on TV in 2019. By 2024, “Infinity Train Arc,” “Red Light District Arc,” “Swordsmith Village Arc,” and “Hashira Training Arc” had been produced. The “Infinity Castle Arc” will be adapted into a three-part animated film depicting the final battle that unfolds at the demon’s base, “Infinity Castle.” “Chapter 1: Akaza Returns,” which opened on July 18, has been a mega-hit, attracting 12.55 million viewers and grossing 17.6 billion yen in the box office in the 17 days since its release.
