In “Kanaan-sama is always easy,” an anime adaptation of nonco’s romantic comedy manga, it has been decided that Koga Aoi will play the heroine Takakiyo Kanan, and Yamashita Seiichiro will play Kyogi Youji, who becomes Kanan’s lover. The second teaser visual has also been released.
The original work has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” (published by Kodansha) since 2022. Kanan, a demon who descends to a high school in the human world to eat young and sweet souls, ends up making a romantic contract with Youji, who he chose as his first sacrifice due to a misunderstanding. Kanan has lived for thousands of years, but is still innocent and has never experienced her first love. Although she looks down on Youji as an “inferior creature,” she is excited by the words and actions of her first boyfriend. The latest 10th volume of the book will be released on July 16th. The anime version will be animated by Studio KAI, the studio behind “Uma Musume: Pretty Derby Season 3”.
Koga plays Kanan, a handsome student at Tama Municipal Houno Academy who excels in both academics and sports as the head of the discipline committee, but in reality he is a gourmet demon whose father is the archdemon Beelzebub, the glutton. Yamashita plays Youji, a high school boy who is earnest but also full of worldly desires, who dreams of being “eaten” by a devilish girl like Kanan.
The second teaser visual shows a happy Koi innocently pulling Kanan’s arm, and Kanaan gazing at him with a flustered but embarrassed expression.
