The second season of the TV anime “Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita” has been announced for broadcast in 2026, and the ultra teaser visual has been released.

The anime adaptation of the light novel by Tanaka Yuu tells the story of a man who is reincarnated into another world as a sword, an “intelligent weapon,” and is equipped by a black cat girl named Fran, who is named Master, and the two embark on a great adventure together. The first season aired from October to December 2022.

The ultra teaser visual for the second season shows Fran and her Master heading for the floating island.

The main staff for the second season are the same as those for the first season, with Ishihira Shinji as director, Nagano Takahiro as series composition and scriptwriter, Saito Atsuko as character designer, and C2C in charge of animation production.

Original Staff Returns, Ultra Teaser Visual Unveiled

The announcement of Season 2 for Reincarnated as a Sword is a welcome one for fans who were captivated by its unique isekai twist—where the protagonist is reincarnated not as a person but as a sentient sword. The return of the original staff ensures continuity in tone and quality, which is often a key factor in successful sequels. The newly released ultra teaser visual suggests a darker, more intense story arc, hinting at emotional growth for Fran and deeper lore around the sword’s origins. With isekai titles saturating the market, this franchise continues to stand out with its fresh concept and well-developed characters.
