Girls und Panzer Movie Returns in 4K & MX4D for 10th Anniversary

Revival Screening Titled “Girls und Panzer the Movie: 10th Anniversary Screening – A Strategy for Extra Variation!”

It has been announced that the animated film “Girls und Panzer the Movie” will be revived at 175 cinemas nationwide starting November 21st to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Titled “Girls und Panzer the Movie: 10th Anniversary Screening – A Strategy for Extra Variation!”, the screening will include the previously available standard, Dolby Atmos, and 4DX screenings, as well as new, upscaled 4K and MX4D screenings.

The “Girls und Panzer” series is set in Japan, where tank-controlling “Sensha-do” (tank driving) is widespread. The story follows the Oarai Girls’ High School Tankery Team, where protagonist Miho Nishizumi, a descendant of a Tankery master, competes fiercely against numerous rival schools. A movie version was released in 2015 after the TV series aired from 2012 to 2013. The six-episode “Girls und Panzer: The Final Chapter” is currently in its fourth episode, and the first act of the spin-off “Girls und Panzer: More Love Love Operation!” (four acts in total) will be screened from December 26th.
