To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the original work of the popular series “I Want You to Show Me Your Panties with a Disgusted Face” by 40hara of the circle “Animal Machine,” a new anime series, “I Want You to Show Me Your Panties with a Disgusted Face R (Returns),” has been announced. Teaser visuals and staff information have also been released.

The original series is a collection of illustrations depicting situations in which beautiful women—maids, high school girls, gals, office ladies, nurses, and shrine maidens—show off their panties while being looked down upon. Since the first season of the anime aired in 2018, three seasons have been produced, and novels, comics, and photobooks featuring gravure models have also been released. An illustration exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of “Iyapan” will be held at Art Gallery AKIHABARA in Tokyo from August 22nd to 31st, featuring a selection of illustrations and merchandise for sale.
The teaser visual focuses on the series’ only regular heroine, Chitose Ito, and conveys the appeal of “Iyapan,” combining two seemingly contradictory situations: lifting her skirt to reveal her panties while gazing down at them with a scornful gaze.
Saya Fukase will continue to direct, and UWAN PICTURES will once again be responsible for animation production.
A collaboration with the game “Detariki Z: The Daily Life of Special Defense Agency Members,” in which beautiful girls and their underwear fall from the sky, has also been decided. Details will be announced at a later date.
The iconic “I Want You to Show Me Your Panties with a Disgusted Face” returns with a fresh twist
The announcement of “Disgusted Face R” marks a notable moment for fans of niche and fetish-themed anime. Originally launched as a provocative short anime series blending humiliation and comedy, it gained a cult following for its unique concept and bold title. The addition of “R” in the new title suggests a reboot or refined continuation, potentially expanding on the original character lineup or deepening the situational variety.
This project also reflects a broader trend in anime: the revival of quirky, cult-hit series that resonated with online communities. With the 10th anniversary acting as both a nostalgic trigger and a marketing opportunity, the creators are clearly banking on longtime fans while possibly reaching a newer, meme-aware generation.
