The TV anime “Let’s Play My Life Full of Quests,” based on a North American web comic, will begin airing in October on Fuji TV’s late-night anime slot “+Ultra.” It has been revealed that Tsuchiya Shimba, Nakamura Yuichi, and Sugita Tomokazu will play three male characters who will have romantic relationships with the main character Sam Young (CV: Hanazawa Kana), and a teaser PV has been released.
The original work by Leeanne M. Krecic has been viewed over 900 million times and is a popular work with over 6.8 million subscribers worldwide. Sam, a 22-year-old software developer who aspires to be a game creator in Los Angeles, USA, releases the adventure puzzle game “Luminate” that she developed as a student to the world, but her dream is cut short by harsh criticism from a popular game commentator. However, three men appear before her, and the “adult love story” of Sam, who has no romantic experience, begins.

Nakamura plays Charles Jones, the general manager of the company run by Sam’s father and her direct superior, who gives her difficult tasks to help her grow. Sugita plays Link Hudson, a waiter at the cafe Sam frequents and a paramedic who has had feelings for Sam since meeting her in his student days and being encouraged by her.
The teaser PV features Sam and three male characters with voices.

・About the character I’m playingMarshall is a popular game streamer. And actually, I’m not very good at games, so in that respect we’re the complete opposite (laughs). However, I really sympathize with his attitude of pouring all his passion into the things he loves. I think that being passionate about something you think is the right thing for you can be a force that moves people. I hope to carefully portray his straightforwardness and passion while cherishing it.
・Message to viewersFrom the moment I read the explanation of the work during the audition, I was attracted to the drama depicted from multiple perspectives. I felt even more motivated when I heard that the original work has received great support in North America. I would like to approach the work with enthusiasm so that the appeal of this work can be conveyed not only to fans of the original work, but also to those who are experiencing it for the first time through this work. Please take a look!

・About the character I play Rather than being cold-hearted, I feel like he is quietly evaluating things. He is a cool character, but I think he thinks and acts based on some kind of belief (this is still unclear at the beginning, so I will leave it vague). I am careful when acting so that he has his own correct answers.
・Message to viewersIt is a story like a live-action drama about city life, and it includes the directing and extravagance that is unique to animation. I think that viewers, especially those who are active in society, will be waiting for developments that will make them feel like they are not someone else’s problem. I hope you will take your time watching it before going to sleep, and that the work will give you power… so I hope you will look forward to it.

・I don’t think the character I’m playing is similar to me at all. Maybe that’s why it’s so fun to explore. I wonder if he can’t express his feelings well in front of the person he likes, and that makes him feel depressed? I want to imagine various situations like that and build the play.
・Message to the viewers: Talent, friendship, and games. I hope that there will be something resonating with you as a familiar theme. Thank you.

A romantic comedy rooted in the gamer lifestyle—what if life was a game full of love and side quests?
“Let’s Play My Life Full of Quests” appears to be a romantic comedy anime that draws inspiration from the North American webcomic culture, especially those centered around video game themes and online communities. The title suggests a metafictional approach, blending real-life romance with RPG-style storytelling. This fusion of slice-of-life and quest mechanics may reflect a growing interest in cross-cultural storytelling, especially from Western creators influenced by anime aesthetics. With its broadcast beginning in October, this show may mark a fresh attempt at bridging East-West storytelling styles while targeting a globally connected audience.
