A special featurette video for Tabekko Animals THE MOVIE, a 3DCG animated film based on Ginbis’s animal-shaped biscuits Tabekko Animals, which have been loved by generations since their release in 1978, has been released.
The film has also attracted attention for its impressive cast, including Matsuda Genta (Travis Japan) as Lion-kun, Mizukami Koji as Elephant-kun, and Takaishi Akari as Pegasus-chan. In the video, you can see the dubbing of the three actors and their interviews. When the cast was announced, a special visual was also revealed, which caused a huge response on social media.
In Sweets Land, where sweets and humans live together in harmony, the singing and dancing super idol Tabekko Animals is very popular. However, Pegasus-chan is captured by the evil “Cotton Candy Army,” who are plotting to eliminate all sweets in the world and take over the world. The Eating Animals, whose only redeeming quality is their cuteness and who have no fighting ability, rise up to help their precious friend and save Sweets Land, but…

The video shows Matsuda, who plays the eccentric leader Lion-kun, Mizukami, who plays the smartest member of the group, Zou-kun, and Takaishi, who plays the next-generation ace Pegasus-chan, a great singer who is extremely popular, breathing life into their characters to the pop song “Cute Battle” performed by Usagi-chan (Ozawa Ari) and Neko-chan (Minase Inori), as well as a special interview with the three of them.

Matsuda, who was initially confused about the “movie adaptation” and asked, “Are they making a movie?”, smiled and said, “It was fun!” about his second role as Lion, following his role as Hawk in “The Lion King: Mufasa.” When asked about the highlights of the film, Mizukami praised Takaishi’s song and the scene, saying, “Isn’t it Pegasus-chan’s song? Flyers using this visual are being distributed at theaters nationwide. The back side is a cute Tabekko Animals coloring book, making it a flyer that combines coolness and cuteness.
