The sixth season of the TV anime “Kingdom” will premiere on NHK General TV at 12:10 AM on October 4th, and cast members Yukifumi Takeda, Dai Matsumoto, Shinnosuke Tachibana, Masaaki Mizunaka, Yoshino Nanjo, and Teruyuki Tanzawa have been announced. The main visual has also been released.
The original manga, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine by Yasuhisa Hara, is a popular historical epic that has sold over 110 million copies. Set in China during the Warring States period, the story follows the exploits of Shin (voiced by Seiichi Morita), a young boy who aspires to become the greatest general in the world, and Ei Sei (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), a young king who later becomes the first emperor of the Qin dynasty. The TV anime began airing in 2012. In the sixth series, Wang Jian (played by Kenyu Horiuchi), Kanki (played by Kentaro Ito), and Yang Duanhe (played by Mie Sonozaki) form an allied force to oppose Li Mu (played by Toshiyuki Morikawa), a genius military strategist from the state of Zhao who is preventing the Qin state from unifying China. They attempt to capture Ye, a city near the Zhao capital of Handan.
Casting for New Qin Army Characters Announced

Takeda will play Ako, the courageous and courageous first general of Wang Jian’s army, who enjoys the utmost trust of Wang Jian. Matsumoto will play Mako, the second general known for his tactical skills and nicknamed “Wang Jian’s right-hand man.” Tachibana will play Akakin, a commander of 1,000 men under Ako, who has a difficult personality and is often referred to as a “bad boy,” but boasts outstanding military abilities. Mizunaka will play Katari, the intelligent and skilled young leader of the Mera tribe, a member of Yang Duanhe’s “Mountain People Army.” Nanjo will play Kitari, Katari’s younger sister, a powerful warrior who ranks among her tribe’s top fighters and is known for her foul mouth but is beloved by her comrades. Additionally, due to health reasons, Takahiro Fujiwara will be replaced by Tanzawa as Kanjo.
The main visual shows Shin, Meng Tian (Nojima Hirofumi), and Wang Ben (Hosoya Yoshimasa), who lead the Hi Shin Unit, Rakuka Unit, and Gyoku Hou Unit, which will join the Allied Forces as independent mobile forces, gathered under Wang Jian. Shin holds the spear inherited from the great general, Ou Ki, and the four men are depicted bravely rising up to fight against the Zhao Kingdom.
