The synopsis and scene cuts for Episode 5, titled “Old Man from the Countryside is Angry at the Villains,” from the TV anime “Old Man from the Countryside Becomes a Sword Saint” (airing on TV Asahi every Saturday at 11:30 PM), were released on the 28th. In addition, details were announced for the upcoming talk event and retrospective screening at Tokushima’s Machi Asobi, where Hiroaki Hirata—the voice of Beryl Gardenant—will make his first appearance.

On May 10, a talk show for Machi★Asobi vol.28 will be held in Tokushima City, featuring Hirata, who will be participating in Machi★Asobi for the first time, alongside regular guest and sound director Hisayoshi Hirasawa. At the Episode 1 retrospective screening and staff talk session, Hirasawa, producer Chiaki Kondo, and publicity manager Taichi Hata will share behind-the-scenes stories while revisiting the first episode.

Episode 5 “A Country Old Man Becomes an Angered Villain” – Synopsis
Beryl unexpectedly encounters a young pickpocket. Unable to ignore her harsh and lonely existence, he tries to reach out and connect with her, but it proves more difficult than he expected. With the help of Aleucia and Lucy, Beryl discovers that villains are exploiting the girl and decides to stand up against the evil forces binding her.
