Manga artist Kodama Kawajiri updated their X account on the 23rd, sharing a comedy manga based on the anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX (Geku Axe). The manga features a mysterious location called “Haman Sushi,” which has since gone viral online.

In Episode 3, Machu wins the clan battle, and in the manga version, the victory celebration takes place at a sushi restaurant. Machu cheerfully shouts, “We made it through the first round, we’re all in! Yay!” Nyaan is offered sushi but hesitates, saying, “I don’t like raw fish…” to which Machu playfully retorts, “You’ve got a name like a cat—shouldn’t you love fish?”
The sushi restaurant is revealed to be named Haman Sushi, sparking a wave of hilarious reactions online. Fans commented, “It’s hilarious that Nyaan, a mouth cat, can’t handle fish,” “The plasma trail when he dashes off is amazing,” “Haman Sushi LOL, I lost it,” “Too much info LOL,” “I wanna go to Haman Sushi now,” “This is nuts LOL,” and “Haman Sushi made me let out a weird noise.” The phrase “Haman Sushi” quickly began trending on X.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX (Zeku Axe) follows the story of Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl living a peaceful life in a space colony. Her world changes dramatically when she meets Nyaan, a girl who is a war refugee, and gets caught up in the underground mobile suit dueling tournament known as the “Clan Battle.”
Taking on the entry name “Machu,” Amate pilots the GQuuuuuuX (Zeku Axe) and throws herself into fierce battles day after day. One day, an unidentified mobile suit called Gundam appears, pursued by both the Space Army and the police. Its pilot, a mysterious boy named Shuuji, brings with him a force that may usher in a new era for the world.
This new Gundam series is co-produced by Studio Khara, known for the Evangelion series, and Sunrise, the studio behind the original Gundam franchise.
